This photo was taken in Jan 2013 looking north toward the nuclear power plant at Vernon, VT. One may see old ice, new ice, and the hot water flowing from the plant. This is a dramatic illustration of the thermal plume of Vermont Yankee

This is an excellent site with good information and opinion and analysis. I would like to see a more dumbed down version of the description of radiation. Also, it would be nice to have news and updates about citizen efforts to raise public awareness about the dangers of the Vernon plant and plants like it and what can be done to increase safety at these plants.
