After explosions at nuclear waste facility, major USA cities record radiation spike

Meanwhile closer to home, an old poorly run nuclear waste dump in Nevada spontaneously blew up.. A spike of radioactivity, increasing 50% , briefly, was noted 100 miles away in Las Vegas.

EPA data shows radiation spike in major US city soon after explosions at nuclear waste facility nearby — AP: Drums of buried waste were blasted over site’s fence; Large crater reported — Emergency Official: US gov’t brought in “resources I’ve never even seen before, it was amazing” (VIDEO) New York Times (AP), Oct 25, […]

No foreseeable end to Fukushima’s daily dumping of radioactive waste to Pacific Ocean

Some believe that the solution to pollution is dilution, and that  the Pacific ocean is vast.  This is a cute idea, but what is the evidence to support it?   If this is scientifically sound,  where is the data about the intervention group and the control group?  Some people regard the Pacific as a vast collection of water, but others believe that is the source of life.  If the ocean dies, we humans most certainly will not survive.

Former WHO Official: Fukushima plant is dumping nuclear waste into ocean on a daily basis; “There’s no foreseeable end to it… and nobody has any good ideas on how to stop it” — Japan gov’t worried that attempts to reduce leakage will cause even more radioactivity to flow into sea (VIDEO) Asahi Shimbun, Oct […]

Outside Fukushima reactor containment vessel deadly 9.4 sieverts detected

Our cultural faith in rationalism and progress lead us to believe that problems can be solved. The disaster at Fukushima  cannot be solved. How many disasters do we need before we decide enough is enough?

Deadly 9.4 sieverts detected outside Fukushima reactor 2 containment vessel; checks stop Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Thursday that radiation levels of up to 9.4 sieverts per hour have been detected outside a reactor containment vessel at the meltdown-hit Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. People exposed to the maximum radiation dose for some 45 […]

Cone of silence about Fukushima, as Abe prepares for 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Most man-made industrial  disasters come to an end. The disaster at Fukushima continues to get worse with accumulating damage to the world.   It is like a fire that has not been put out.

But, wait a moment, where’s the corium? Corium is a lava-like radioactive hot molten mix of a nuclear reactor core formed during a meltdown. The corium is missing at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant No. 2. Nobody knows where it is. Nobody knows! Better yet, or rather worse yet, finding No.2’s melted core is an […]
